Updates from the Commissioner

Fall Season is complete and what a success it was!  All teams did amazing and many firsts for the program, we are now transitioning to the Spring Season.  Registration is now open for Spring and registration costs have been adjusted for just the Spring season.

Girls Lacrosse is finally here!  We were successful last year with an elementary school age bracket, ages 6-11 (grade 1 thru 5), this year we are looking to expand and add a Middle School Girls program (grade 6 thru 8).  Signup using the links below.

Participation fees: 
$195 plus $45 Annual NYSA Family Membership Dues for Boys 10U/12U/14U (includes uniform, Fall and Spring season game fees).  $150 plus $45 Annual NYSA Family Membership for Elementary School Girls program (includes uniform, Fall and Spring season game fees) and $175 for Middle School Girls program (includes uniform, Fall and Spring season game fees).   If you do not want to participate in the Fall tournament, the registration fee will drop down to $135 for for 10U/12U/14U boys programs, $115 for the Elementary School Girls program and $125 for the Middle School Girls program after completion of the Fall season.  If you have multiple children playing Lacrosse or any other NYSA sport. then only one family membership is required per year, renewed every October.

Ages 7 and up, team age segmentation based on birthdate:

  • 10U:  1 Sep 2009 – 31 Aug 2013 (3rd/4th grade)
  • 12U:  1 Sep 2007 – 31 Aug 2009 (5th/6th grade)
  • 14U:  1 Sep 2005 – 31 Aug 2007 (7th/8th grade)
  • 19U:  1 Sep 2000 – 31 Aug 2005 (9th-12th grade)  *SEE NOTE BELOW

Girls:  Ages 7 and up, team age segmentation based on birthdate:

 Elementary Girls:  1 Sep 2008 - 31 Aug 2014 (1st thru 5th grade)
 Middle School Girls:  1 Sep 2005 - 31 Aug 2008 (6th/7th/8th grade)

NOTE: 19U registration is $40 plus $45 annual NYSA Family membership, this does not include uniforms or games.  Additional costs may be occurred to cover this.  Also if not current, you must register with US Lacrosse and obtain a membership number

What lacrosse gear is included with my registration fee? 
Your athlete's uniform are included in the cost of registration.  Full pads and a stick can be borrowed free of charge for those new to the sport (limited numbers available)

What forms of payment do you accept for the registration fee? Credit/Debit cards when registering online. We accept Cash or Checks when registering in person. 

What other expenses may I incur? Every player must register with US Lacrosse, a $35 yearly membership for insurance purposes. If you do not borrow equipment from the team's stock, then you are responsible for providing your athlete's stick (all), helmet (boys), eye protection (girls), chest/shoulder/elbow pads (boys), gloves (all), mouth guard (all), and any practice clothing. We have equipment available for loan, please contact [email protected] with requests.  Additionally, weekend travel will be required to tournaments on specified dates generally within 1 hour drive.

Equipment packages generally cost ~ $125 for beginners (boys).  Sticks are usually $35-$50.  A typical stick will last an entire childhood lacrosse career.

When are practices? Practices will start in the evenings in October for the Fall Season and evenings starting in January through mid-March for the Spring season.  Specific times will be communicated by team coaches.

When does the season start and end? First game is in November for the Fall Season and the first game for Spring season will be in February with the last game in April.

What days are games?  Tournaments are typically on saturdays.  There are some weekends when there are games on Saturday and Sunday.

Where are the games played? We are required to travel for tournaments, which range between Perdido to Santa Rosa Beach.

How many games are there? We will play approx 12 to 15 games during the season, against teams from all over the Gulf Coast.

Jamboree events for boys & girls youth teams:

11/9/19 & 11/10/19 - Destin

2/15/20 - Perdido Key Jamboree (10U, 14U, & Girls Team)

2/22/20 – Pensacola Jamboree (All Teams)

3/7/20 - Battleship Shootout Mobile Bay (All Teams)

3/21/20 - LAL Jamboree Foley Alabama (All Teams)

3/28/20 - Sandy Stix Panama City Beach (12U & 14U Teams)

4/18 & 4/19 – Destin Invitational

Jamborees consist of 2-3 games per team vs lacrosse teams traveling from FL, AL, MS, and LA.  Expect ~12 to 15 games total.
